Dolomite is an important calcium and magnesium resource with a Mohs hardness of 3.5-4. Chemical Industry. Dolomite is processed in the chemical industry to produce magnesium carbonate. At the same time, dolomite can be also produce important chemical raw materials such as magnesium sulfate, magnesium oxide and magnesium hydroxide after processing.

Building materials industry. The manufacture of magnesium oxychloride cement is another important use of dolomite. In addition, after calcining dolomite to form caustic dolomite, it can be also processed into magnesium hydroxide cement and magnesium sulfate cement. At the same time, the processing and utilization of dolomite also involves fields such as glass and ceramics.

With the development of the magnesium smelting industry, more and more tailings slag occupies the cultivated land, increases the environmental load, and uses the dolomite to smelt the metal magnesium after the tailings to produce magnesium-potassium multi-component fertilizer.
